Neverness to Everness 1.1 Preview Locked: Lacrimosa, Chaos, Porsche and a Greek-Flavored Chapter 5

The 1.1 special program has a date stamped on it — Saturday May 23, 7:30 PM. That single confirmation sets off a chain of confirmations: a two-half banner cycle, the long-teased Porsche tie-in finally going live, an amusement park that has been sitting locked in the bottom-right corner of the map for an entire patch, and a Chapter 5 main story trailer that suddenly looks nothing like the urban anomaly-hunting we have been doing so far. There is a lot to chew through before the stream, so here is my read on every confirmed beat and the few rumors worth taking seriously.

Lacrimosa Up Top, Chaos Down Bottom

1.1 banner preview Lacrimosa/Chaos

The banner order is settled. Lacrimosa runs the first half of 1.1 and Chaos closes out the second half, with the patch expected to start after the current Misty Tipsy Style run wraps on June 3, 2026. Both are limited S-class characters on Solid Dice boards, which means the same ruleset that has been in play since launch carries over: 100% featured guarantee with no 50/50 split, 1.87% base S-class rate, Board Modification kicking the rate up to 19.59% at 70 pulls, and a hard ceiling at 90. Pity also carries between Limited Boards, so anything you have banked on the Hotori board flows directly into Lacrimosa.

For people who have been sitting on Solid Dice since launch, here is the cost framework worth bookmarking before the stream:

Pull threshold What you get
50 pulls First cosmetic milestone on each Limited Board
70 pulls Soft pity, guaranteed S-class tiles appear
90 pulls Hard guarantee on the featured S-class
120 pulls Second cosmetic milestone
200 pulls Final cosmetic milestone

At 160 Anulith per single and 1,600 per ten-pull, an average hard-pity run is the budget to plan around, and the cosmetic milestones on Limited Boards do not carry between different banners — they only persist on reruns of the same banner. Plan your stash accordingly if you intend to chase both halves.

Lacrimosa is the one I would assume is not free under any circumstance. Hotta Studio's pattern with the launch S-class lineup has been straightforward: free S-class characters come from progression systems like City Tycoon, not from limited banners. Chiz is the only freebie of that caliber so far and she came through the City Tycoon grind, not through a giveaway.

The Free-Chaos Rumor

The juicy speculation is around Chaos. There is community chatter that he may be handed out for free during the 1.1 cycle, possibly as a celebration giveaway. I would not bank on it. The smaller A-class promos we have seen — Haniel from pre-registration, Aurelia from the 14-day login event, Mint and Adler unlocked through the main story — fit the publisher's existing pattern, and dropping a limited S-class for free would be a much bigger statement than anything they have done before. If it happens, fantastic. If it does not, plan around paying full pity for both characters and you will not be disappointed.

The 300 Anulith Code Drop

Porsche 918 vehicle showcase

Every preview stream so far has dumped redemption codes at the end of the broadcast, and the 1.1 stream is confirmed to do the same with roughly 300 Anulith spread across the codes. To stack on top of that, here is the existing live code list worth burning through before patch swap:

  • NTE0429: 100 Anulith, 5 Elite Hunter Guides, 2 Chaotic Dye, 12,000 Beetle Coins
  • NTENANALLYGO: 100 Anulith, 5 Senior Hunter Guides, 5 Colorless Dye, 6,000 Beetle Coins
  • NTENOWTOENJOY: 100 Anulith, 5 Rising Hunter Guides, 5 Light Dye, 4,000 Beetle Coins
  • NTEGIFT: 50 Anulith, 5 Rising Hunter Guides, 5 Colourless Dye
  • 504980102FKGOVNS: 20,000 Beetle Coins, 1 Gubichi Original Flavor Chips, 30 Anulith
  • NTE429vtuber: 30,000 Beetle Coins, 30,000 Fons
  • NTEvtuber200: 10,000 Fons, 10,000 Beetle Coins
  • NTEWINFONS: 20,000 Fons
  • NTEFUNGAME: 10,000 Fons
  • NTEFREE: 30,000 Fons
  • NTENENE: 10,000 Fons, 10 DynamiK, 10 Clicky Fries
  • NTEHAVEFUN: 3 Rising Hunter Guides, 3 Colourless Dye, 3 Manhole Thug

Codes are case-sensitive and gated behind clearing the tutorial and Episode 0, "Unforeseen Yet Foretold." Redeem from the in-game menu, three-dot button, Redeem Code panel.

Porsche Goes Live: The Building Is Already There, The Cars Are Not

The Porsche collaboration ships with 1.1. Right now the Porsche dealership building is sitting near Crocodile Clock Avenue — the closest fast-travel landmark is the ReroRero Phone Booth — with the giant Porsche logo on the facade, NPC Franco posted at the entrance, and silver and blue 918 Spyder variants on display behind glass. The shop itself is locked as of May 2026, but you can already walk up and ogle the showroom cars before they are drivable.

What the official information confirms about the 918 Spyder when it goes live:

  • Detailed modeling and real engine sound recordings
  • Custom livery system with four modes: Classic, NTE-branded co-livery, Racing, and a free Livery Editor
  • In-car radio feature pairing with the Persona 5 soundtrack collab (Royal and Phantom X tracks)
  • Cross-play preserved across PS5, PC, iOS, and Android

Acquisition is multi-layered. There is a Collaboration Story Quest path for free-to-play players, an Event Shop Exchange, the Limited Collaboration Banner, and Cumulative Login Rewards. Event activities scheduled around it include the Porsche City Cruise, a Speed Challenge, a Livery Design Contest, the Collaboration Story Quest itself, and Daily Collaboration Commissions.

The 918 Question: Will Fons Cut It?

This is where I disagree with the more optimistic takes floating around. The Fons economy in Neverness to Everness is generous, but flagship vehicles do not come cheap. Look at the existing Fons price ladder:

Vehicle Cost (Fons)
C2000 50,000
G3 200,000
Novis ST-X 950 250,000
M1000 350,000
ST79 600,000
Griffin 1,500,000
Enforcer 1,720,000
Griffin Volante 1,800,000
Blizzard-V4 2,450,000
Pursuit V8 4,000,000
LaVelox 10,800,000
Pendragon 12,000,000

The K01, currently the premium reference point at max speed 80 and acceleration 8, lists at $25.99 USD or 6,800,000 Fons via the Supersonic Pack in the Gift Center. The 918 Spyder being a real Porsche flagship with full licensing — engine recordings, detailed modeling, branded livery system — makes it very unlikely to drop into the Fons bracket. It is far more reasonable to expect the 918 to slot in as a paid or limited-banner pull, with potential additional Porsche models acting as the Fons-tier option. The free Rover A1 you get from clearing Prologue II (max speed 40, accel 2) is not the comparison class anyone should be using here.

The bright side: even if the 918 is paywalled, the Collaboration Story Quest still drops a F2P path to a Porsche-branded reward of some kind, and the Livery Editor is universal.

PukaLand Finally Opens Its Gates

New amusement park map preview

The amusement park has been visible in the bottom-right corner of the map since launch with a locked icon. Earlier beta tests already gave us a peek at PukaLand alongside the Port District, so the area is built — it has just been gated. The fact that the official 1.1 background art has been quietly swapped to a park theme is about as loud a hint as the studio gives.

What is unclear: whether the unlock comes with new anomaly events, new vehicle traversal routes specific to the park, or a fresh district-style hub similar to how Miguel District and New Herland District were structured at launch. Miguel District remains the Scarlet Letter narrative anchor — Eibon, the Bureau of Anomaly Control, the Food First restaurant, the Witch's House at Bridge Crossings, and the cherry-blossom tree near Whitetail Ridge Road all sit there — so PukaLand probably serves a different tonal role. Expect attraction-themed combat encounters and the kind of environmental gimmicks that an amusement park layout invites.

If you have not finished City Tycoon Level 2 yet, that is the gating threshold for unlocking the Garage and Hethereau dealerships, so do that before 1.1 lands. The trigger is the Photo Studio Episode plus the Chiz interaction in "Good Morning, Hethereau."

Chapter 5 and the Greek-Underworld Pivot

Greek-style otherworld main story

The promo image for the next main story chapter is a hard tonal shift. Statues, classical figures, and the protagonist standing on a small boat being steered by a skeletal helmsman — that is straight Charon iconography, the ferryman of the Greek underworld. Considering Chapter 4 "A Scarlet Letter" ended on the Debt Collector boss fight at the cherry-blossom mansion and the reveal of Zankou's Esper ability — generating hallucinations to rewrite perception and alter memories — the storyline is clearly pushing further into the Scarlet Letter organization's internal mythology.

Daffodill is going to carry a lot of the weight. She is already established as a former Scarlet Letter member now working at the Abone antique shop, and she refers to Madame T as her adoptive mother. With Zankou neutralized as the version 1.0 final boss and Madame T still operating in the shadows, Daffodill is the natural narrative bridge — she has the relationships, the trauma, and the Compatibility Liquid Arc tied to her S-class combat kit to anchor a DPS-focused chapter.

The Eternal Present is the other thread to watch. The anomaly grants immortality by freezing the host at the moment of impending death, and it is the central object the organization conflict revolves around. A Greek-underworld aesthetic plus an immortality-by-frozen-death anomaly is not a coincidental pairing. Whether the otherworld setting is a literal anomaly zone or a hallucination-style instance like Zankou's powers can produce remains to be confirmed on the stream, but the visual language strongly suggests the next chapter is going to push the franchise's metaphysics out of the urban-noir register it has been operating in.

Three weeks until the broadcast, and the version-end Misty Tipsy Style banner is still running until June 3 if you want Hotori on Cosmos before the lineup rotates. Save your Solid Dice unless you really want her, because both halves of 1.1 are going to be heavy lifts.
